Mietta's Review
A Vietnamese restaurant specialising the cuisine of the old imperial capital, Hue. Very good and interesting food at low prices. Good and helpful service even for the uninitiated. The room is small and simply decorated - it's the food you're here for after all.

Sydney Eats 2006 "With its bare Laminex tables, high turnover and good service, Ben Ngu is typical of Bankstown's myriad Vietnamese eateries. Also typical is that each has its own specialty in this case, the cuisine of the old imperial capital Hue, which means in-your-face shrimp paste."
SMH Good Living John Newton February 5, 2005 "Ben Ngu specialises in the cuisine of Hue ... The eatery is a small, sparsely decorated room with maroon Laminex tables and a long mirror along one wall. Out of 10: Food 8, Better Hue than most Vietnamese. Atmosphere 6, Who cares? Value 9, For $109, we ate like royalty. Service 8, Courtesy, charm and information."
Sydney Eats 2005 "Among the rambling arcades of Vietnamese markets, cake shops, delis and Middle Eastern sweet shops you'll find Ben Ngu. It specialises in the cuisine of Vietnam's ancient capital, Hue, characterised by eye-poppingly pungent shrimp and crab pastes."
