Mietta's Review
Very traditional food in what was a very ethnic area. No menu, just masses of food, a bit like going to a Lebanese wedding. The banquet which includes good hummus, labni, deep fried calamari, shish tawook and lots more is good value.

IA smart makeover sees contemporary stone feature walls, some new artworks, the relocation of the bar to the back of the room and a dedicated takeaway section next to the main restaurant dining room"

Sydney Eats 2008 "Fouad Sayed and his son Ali know what hospitality is all about. As soon as you walk into this large room with a bar on one side, long group tables and traditional bric-a-brac around the walls, you know it's party central, where families and groups can let their hair down and fill up on some of Sydney's best Lebanese fare banquet-style for $30 or $40 per person, $18/$25 at lunch"

Sydney Eats 2006 "This is your classic Lebanese dining experience. It has it all the food, the bellydancers, the party atmosphere and up to 150 other happy diners revelling in the never ending procession of dishes that make up the banquet"
SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "The legendary Summerland, which set new standards for Lebanese restaurant food in Sydney, has moved to a former Chinese restaurant site-the dragon arch still intact. With a handful of tables and chairs outside for coffee drinking and hubbly bubbly (shisha) smoking after dinner, inside it's big, airy and bustling."

Sydney Eats 2005 "After 35 years in the business, Fouad Sayed and his family have the routine down pat. Their newish location is regularly packed out to its 200-person capacity. It's some of the best Lebanese food you'll find in this city, so make sure you book."
