Mietta's Review
This wine bar and bistro in the CBD couples well-priced bistro dishes with a great wine list. Most of the action takes place in the wine bar at the front. The restaurant section is considerably calmer. It's a pleasant light filled room made more accessible by the efficient friendly and, at lunch time, speedy service. The food is respectable and very well priced. The cafe/wine bar is livelier and more fun.

SMH Good Food Guide Score 13/20 2005 "We've been waiting for the return to the CBD of a truly French-style wine bar. Former Bathers' Pavilion sommelier, now wine importer, Andreas Puhar has teamed up with chef Terence Rego (ex Kables, L'Otel, Wildfire) to present a sensational wine list alongside appealing bistro food. It's very Parisian, with wooden wine crates on the floors, daily specials scribbled on mirror menus, Austrian and French wines by the glass and a small light-filled dining room."

SMH Good Living Eat Up Keith Saxby "cheerful waiters in smart black vests, white shirts and black aprons. It is a comfortable space, the tables populated by office workers and the odd tourist. Every table is graced with bottles of Ferrarelle mineral water. If long boozy lunches still take place anywhere in this city, they do not take place at deVINE on a Wednesday."
