Mietta's Review
Large wooden beams, old sandstone warehouse walls, wood smoke and a real charcoal grill to sizzle meat as good as you'll find in Australia. Steaks in various sizes, excellent listed and pricey off-list wine selection, good chips and a help-yourself salad bar.

CitySearch Megan Flamer June 2003 "Located on Hobart's well-known Salamanca Place, this is a prime example of simple food done exceptionally well. The Ball and Chain's high beamed ceilings and rough stone walls create the perfect backdrop for the sizzling grill, which is in clear view from the front bar and produces some mouth-watering aromas."
