Strategically placed next to the station this neat, modern restaurant and take-away serves standard ndian dishes at reasonable prices. Efficient service and BYO. Both eating options are popular with locals.

Other published opinions

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "if it ain't broke . . .' could be Ganesh's mantra. Its menu has changed little over 11 years and, with triumphant versions of creamy kormas, fiery Madras curries and blistering vindaloos, why should it? A coconut-milk Goan fish curry zings with curry leaves and mustard seeds; goat comes on-the-bone in rich gravy; and a tandoori platter of tender spiced fish, chicken and lamb s top value"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "In Hinduism, Ganesh is sometimes Lord of the Hosts, so it's fitting that his representatives in Blackburn are so cheerful and accommodating. In a modern, spacious interior with only a smattering of Indian ornamentation, Ganesh dishes up mostly north Indian fare, from classic vindaloos and kormas to a lively goat curry."

The Age Cheap Eats 2006 This spick 'n' span Indian restaurant drags the genre from the flockwallpapered dark ages right into the present. Behind a feature window, the kitchen is abuzz with chefs creating dishes such as Goan prawn curry

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "BLACKBURN has its own jewel of India, a crisp, clean and ordered place, coloured with a jangly Indian pop soundtrack and the aroma of tandoorcooked dishes."

The Age Cheap Eats 200 "Decor is definitely modern Mumbai CBD - contemporary carpet, clean, minimalist walls (OK, a few Indian pics) and courteous, efficient waiters. Work groups and families gather for Indian standards"
