Mietta's Review A narrow high-ceilinged and brightly lit shopfront lined with authentic woodgrained laminex sheeting. Typically a bain marie greets you at the front door but atypically most food comes directly from the kitchen. This counter is guarded by a quietly spoken, careful and precise gentleman who copes with the takeaway trade and insistent demands of those seated at table. These, fortunately, are covered in plastic sheeting. The early dinner clientele is South Indian families and kids while later the tables are filled with men eating with their hands (or more precisely one hand). These groups manage to consume an amazing selection of dishes mopping up the juices with constantly renewed plates of roti. All dishes are well under $10. The feeling is good, the music, Indian pop, is a little loud and in winter the heat of the curries is tempered by an occasional chilly blast from the door.
