The Age Clem Bastow, 8-3-2007 "Painted in jewel-rich tones of plum, ochre, orange and yellow and accented with vibrant blues and reds, the place is like a living, breathing Our Lady Of Guadalupe prayer-card (and there she is, of course, watching over the bar, surrounded by light-up roses). Dia De Los Muertos prayer flags flutter between the front bar and the tabled back room and ruby-coloured tea-light candles twinkle along the various tables and shelves. The bar is - merciful heavens! - smoke-free, but for those who still want to wheeze there is a charming (if cosy-sized) back courtyard. The cantina is still relatively new (it opened in January) so there is a certain display-room freshness to the paint and pillows."
