Mietta's Review
Satay Anika is a small restaurant where you can BYO, patronised by locals in the know for its inexpensive Malaysian food, the attentive service and friendly presence of sportsmad host, Tony, who is also a local artist. Satay is not all that is on offer, although the barbecued meat on skewers is certainly the speciality of the house. Noodles, laksa and other hawker-style dishes are well worth the wait. Two dining halls - upstairs and downstairs - keep the hosts on their feet, but they manage a happy medium of business and good cheer. Tablecloths are batik but aside from that, the owner describes the restaurant as "very ordinary, a place for locals - not Carlton, we depend on our neighbourhood."
