Mietta's Review
Fresh, tasty, quick and cheap. Its always busy, best bet is if you're not taking away then book. Local residents, students, restaurateurs and firemen, everyone comes here, sometimes at the same time. The open kitchen adds to the frenetic pace of the waiters, and the constant chain gang passage of baskets full of freshly washed broccoli, bok choy, and onions. Bring a bottle of your favourite and then work your way through the menu, a flexible mix and match carte of choose your own stir fries and curries, and you must have Victoria's Butterfly's, they are the house speciality.

The Age Cheap Eats 2008 "When you want to relive those backpacker days in Bangkok but can't be buggered boarding a plane, there's always Thaila Thai"

The Age Cheap Eats 2007 "Before East Brunswick had any kind of 'scene' it had Thaila Thai, whipping up mix-andmatch stir-fries and primary-coloured curries (red, yellow, green) for the neighbourhood."

The Age Cheap Eats 2005 "THIS place bustles like Bangkok. Even the pavement can clog with locals, either waiting for takeaway or just watching the chefs perform fiery wok theatre in the open kitchen. The hawker-like hubbub doesn't abate inside"
