Mietta's Review
European style coffee palace, wine bar and restaurant, Frangos and Frangos attract the beautiful people from the area and beyond. Stylish and smart, it exudes lots of attitude, after the Frangos Empire seems to continue expanding, with the recent opening of a homewares shop and the new more relaxed Koukla. The menu is Mediterranean in influence, and is a little on the expensive side.

Age Good Food Guide 2009 Score: 14/20 "After spending the day walking around Lake Daylesford and exploring the area's mineral springs, it's almost a shock to walk into this restaurant, with its dark, marbled concrete surfaces and stark lines: yes, Frangos & Frangos is verdant Daylesford's shot of urban cool"

Age Good Food Guide 2008 "While there might be more action up the road at Koukla, the pizza place that's another string in local identity Jim Frangos's bow, the more refined Frangos & Frangos is still worth your time"

The Age Good Food Guide 2006 score 13/20 "A visit to Frangos & Frangos (and its buzzy sister caff Koukla for brekkie or wood-fired pizzas) is a must-do Daylesford experience. The interior is more shabby than chic these days with cobwebs and chandeliers minus a few crystals, and snug banquette seating means eavesdropping is inevitable."

The Age Good Food Guide 2005 score 14/20 "IF you're not willing to miss out on city-style dining just because you're in the country, this classy restaurant delivers the goods. The feel is decayed elegance"

Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004, Excellent wine list, Good vegetarian options,'bohemian cafe culture, reminiscent of Fitzroy, in an old pub in main-street Daylesford.Frangos & Frangos divides into the slightly more formal restaurant and the buzzy, all-day Koukla corner cafe, with refectory tables and wood-fired pizza oven. The simple food evokes Greek, Italian and other Mediterranean flavours.'

AGFG 2004, score 14/20, excellent wine list
