At Kelp, the residents of and visitors to, Point Lonsdale are treated to good food, especially at breakfast, and a warm comforting ambience. Kelp Cafe has been a big hit right from the beginning, its small but clean space is filled throughout the day with regulars and those lucky enough to just happen upon a good thing. The coffee is good, the service suits the waterside location, that is, it's relaxed and efficient and prices are just. For out-of-towners accommodation is also available.

Its wine list is extensive and representative of grape varieties. Many local wines feature and several prices are in the low-$30 range. Nine table whites and 18 reds are served by glass."
