Mietta's Review This Aussie-style brasserie offers a range of Nepalese dishes, with an extensive list of cocktails, wines and spirits. Dine in the restaurant or al fresco in the summer. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting with Nepalese photos and decoration putting you in the mood. Two curries to go with the rice are the aloo ra matar: potatoes and green peas cooked in thick curry sauce; and the jhinge machha ko tarkari: prawns cooked in a mild curry sauce with coconut milk and cream. Nepalese ice cream, thick and creamy with pistachio nuts and flavoured with cardamom seeds, goes down well on any summer night. Also at 258 Lygon Street, Carlton, 03 9663 3119
