Mietta's Review
Late last century Pietro Barbagallo opened i Carusi amongst panel shops and wharehouses in outer Brunswick. It started the pizza revolution. His new family member i Carusi ll, is in St Kilda, a far more upmarket area. But some things remain the same - the quality of the pizzas, the no bookings policy, cash only and the refusal to use a woodfired oven. In spite of these discomforts the place is booming with the simple white painted space and its opening windows onto the street, bursting at the seams.
