Mietta's Review
An elegant white building in a formal landscaped garden. As you enter there is dining to the right on repro balloon back chairs and antique tables. Rugs and chandeliers, plush couches and swathed curtains. French doors, big windows. Lots of things for sale - wine of course, and books, clothes, wine gear. Jazzy music and a display kitchen with a regularly changing menu. The wine tasting is well done.

Other published opinions

Gourmet Traveller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide "The grounds of Margaret River's most opulent winery dining room are splendid. High ceilings, abundant light from tall windows, chandeliers and lounge chairs at each end of the room give a genteel, neoclassical feel"

Gourmet Traveller 2008 Australian Restaurant Guide "Before you settle in to the elegance of Voyager's formal dining room, don't miss a tour of the rose gardens"

Paul Eats Perth 06 "'Food, wine, service and surrounds are all second to none.' - a voter"

Gourmet Traveller 2007 Australian Restaurant Guide "There is an air of formality about Voyager - orderly lawns, immaculately tended flowerbeds and imposing Cape Dutch architecture, strikingly high ceilings, candelabras, heavily draped windows and tiled flooring yet it remains a casual lunchtime and morning- and afternoon-tea spot."

Gourmet Traveller 2006 Australian Restaurant Guide "Voyager Estate's Cape Dutch-style winery restaurant is Margaret River's grandest, right down to the chandeliers in the dining room and fresh roses in the bathrooms."

Gourmet Traveller 2005 Australian Restaurant Guide "Voyager Estate is on a grand scale - from the sweeping entrance and giant Australian flag at the front, to the walled gardens surrounding the restaurant. The massive, elegantly formal dining room is similarly impressive"

Sunday Times Gail Williams 9/10/05 "For the past two years, Harvey, formerly of Xanadu, has been wowing customers by cleverly matched combinations such as spatchcock with mandarin, chocolate with thyme, and scallops with angostura bitters. Just looking at the menu, which focuses on quality local produce, brought a touch of spring into the day with its freshness and clarity."

Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide Australia 2004 ,'The substantial cutlery, chandeliers and armchairs all make for a vaguely old-fashioned vibe, but don't be misled. The food here, while unashamedly classical, has a contemporary finesse...The wine list offers comprehensive tasting notes'
