Its beautifully maintained two-storey facade is without peer, wrapping around a quiet street corner to encompass a small brickwork courtyard as well. Outside is where the vestiges of the past are kept, because inside it's a thoroughly modern affair. A substantial renovation updated most of the interior, creating a vibrantly coloured and modern hotel bar. Beware those with vertigo because the brightly lit bar and restaurant areas sparkle with reflective stonework creating a Tokyo discotheque effect that can be a little distracting."
