Mice And Cheese
Preamble
Ingredients
20 Prunes Prune Prune
1 Licorice Strap Licorice Licorice
2 oz (60 g) Philadelphia Cream Cheese Cream Cheese Cream Cheese
1 round Cheese like a babybel or a bonibel or a wedge of tasty cheese Marscarpone Cheese Marscarpone Cheese
20 small Biscuits Biscuit Biscuit
2 oz (60 mls) whipped Cream Cream Cream

MethodSpread the biscuits with a little of the cream cheese. Cut along 1 side of each prune and carefully pull the stone out, without breaking the prune. With a pair of scissors, cut 20 small 1 1/2 inch long thin strips from the licorice for the tails.
Divide the remaining cheese into 20 pieces and stuff one piece into each prune, close the prune over the cheese and stick each prune, cut side down on a biscuit.
Shape the prunes by pinching one end to point it for the nose and using a fine piping nozzle with the cream draw either side of the nose two dots for eyes. Slip a tail under each tail end of the prunes so it hangs over the edge of the biscuit by at least an inch (2 cm).
Put the whole round cheese or wedge of cheese in the centre of a plate or platter and surround it with mice.
