MethodPeanut butter and chopped raisins spread between slices of brown buttered bread are very delicious. This is another variation: Mix one cup of shredded pineapple with half a cup of peanut butter. Spread on slices of buttered white bread. This is sufficient for eight large sandwiches.
Grill eight slices of bacon until crisp. Mince well and mix with half a cup of peanut butter, sufficient for six sandwiches.
Mix three ounces of cream cheese with three ounces of chopped mixed nuts. Moisten with French dressing.
Chop finely some preserved figs. Moisten well with lemon juice. Spread on brown bread.
Mix three ounces of cream cheese with one ounce of red currant jelly and one ounce of sweet pickles, chopped. Spread on either brown or white bread.

Remarks "In making sandwiches the butter should be creamed - never melted. If they are to be kept any length of time wrap them in a cloth dipped in cold water and wrung very dry. Then wrap in waxed paper."
