Almond Icing 2
Preamble
Ingredients1 lb icing Sugar 1/2 lb ground Almond Meal 1 Egg Yolk 2 tablspoons Lemon Juice Water |
MethodRoll and sift the icing sugar, and mix with the almond meal. Add the egg yolk and lemon water. Keep it stiff, and knead well. Roll out to fit the cake, brush over with white of egg. Brush all crumbs off cake, press icing on it gently and allow it to stand for two days before covering finally with royal icing. |
