Tomato with Onion and Vinegar

Tomato with Onion and Vinegar

Ingredients
4 ripe tomatoes sliced
1 brown onion sliced
30 ml white wine vinegar
salt

Method

Pour the vinegar over the onion sliced and let it stand for an hour or so.

Place a layer of tomato in the serving bowl. Salt it and add a sparse layer of onion. If you like your salads tart use more onion. Repeat until the tomato is finished. Top with the onion and, if you like, dribble some of the onion infused vinegar over the salad.

Let stand for 30 minutes or so to allow the onion to flavout the tomato.
