The aim of the Song Recital Award is to promote the performance and wider appreciation of Art Song in all its diversity. The 2004 competition will be held in Melbourne on 16 and 17 October 2004 and is presented in association with the Melbourne International Arts Festival. Audition is by tape and those chosen to participate in the semi-finals can attend a series of master classes held in the week prior to the competition. Entries close on 23 July 2004.
