Mietta's Review
Almost out of Chinatown Sea Bay specialises in hand made noodles, dumplings, hot and sour soup with beancurd and cold cuts. It's a bright little place with mirrors and strong colours. Very good value nrthern dishes.

Sydney Morning Herald Food Food Guide 2012

The Sydney Morning Herald Everyday Eats 2011 Score: **

Sydney Eats 2009 "Steamed, fried, braised or boiled - for dumpling devotees, this humble northern-style eatery has long been ground zero, though it could end up taking serious hits from slick Taiwanese upstart Din Tai Fung across the street in World Square, where the punters start queuing at midday"

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2009

Sydney Eats 2008 "It's Sydney's hallowed home of dumplings, steamed, fried, braised or boiled - just ask the hordes who pack the place at lunchtime"

Sydney Morning Herald Joanna Savill, 20-6-2007

Sydney Eats 2006 "Ignore the cheesy decor and wall-to-wall mirrors and pay attention to the dumplings. On a recent quest to find the best, we gave the Golden Dumpling to Sea Bay for their boiled offering"

SBS Eating Guide to Sydney 2005 "Handmade noodles are their thing; plus hot-and-sour soup with tofu, lamb buns and a selection of cold dishes like jellyfish salad or cold spicy chicken salad full of shallots and crunchy cucumber."

Sydney Eats 2005 "Sea Bay is a funny little place on the outer reaches of Chinatown - all gaudy decor, mirrors and artwork reminiscent of The Sound of Music. That said, a visit is an absolute must for anyone interested in finding some of the best-value and tastiest northern Chinese food in town."
